Firewood Rescue's mission is to provide 1 cord of wood per low income and/or Veteran family, per winter. More may be available on a special case by case basis/need.

FIREWOOD RESCUE PROJECT was founded in October of 2018 by an amazing team of friends and co-volunteers - Paul Krames, Dennis McLeish and Sarah Hines (Planted Roots Foundation) with the purpose of helping those in need of firewood assistance who didn't qualify or weren't able to receive assistance elsewhere because no person or family should suffer the cold. The firewood project has since founded its own Non-Profit called "Firewood Rescue". Firewood Rescue has been dedicated to assisting families in need with emergency firewood, and will continue in its dedication and mission to help those in need.

The Firewood Rescue Project Delivered over 30+ cords of wood for the 2018/2019 season, completely free of charge! This would not have been possible without the many volunteers, the donated tarps and gas money and the many folks who came out and cut, split and delivered firewood to needy families throughout Bonner and boundary counties!
